"Winning the Silverado wrestling tournament scholarship not only helped me financially but it grasped the attention of many college coaches. I remember when I was being recruited the coaches asked about winning the Adrian Amaral tournament and earning MVP Scholarship. They mentioned how awesome it was to see a scholarship or money attached to the award. Many college coaches said they had never seen anything like it and brought me to their attention for recruiting above others. It truly made a significant difference in the way I was recruited and my college experience".
